The validity of our Gift Certificates is in accordance with legal regulations. As per general civil law, a Gift Certificate is typically valid for three years, as all general civil law claims expire within three years. The calculation of the three-year period starts from the end of the year in which the voucher was issued, as stated in §§ 195 and 199 of the German Civil Code (BGB). Due to this legal provision, Gift Certificates cannot be extended beyond the three-year validity period.
